Price difference

Blower motor went out on my 2012 Nissan Titan. I looked online, and Amazon had one for $35.00 plus a little tax, so $38.00

I try to shop local if I can, so I called down to Orielly automotive. They had one setting on the shelf for $99.00. I thanked em, hung up and ordered the one from Amazon. Supposed to be here tomorrow. We will see if it comes in. Amazon is not what it used to be. If it was only $20-$25 more, I would have bought locally, but That is just a little too much.

Speaking of price differences when I was still living in Alaska 81 miles north of Anchorage. I blew the brass gear in my Delta planner. After moving to the Philippines. I finally found one in New York, but they wanted $400 plus shipping for a brass gear that was only about 3 inches in diameter. Not wanting to put another $400 in the $1000 planer I took the gear down to the local machine shop and Dumaguete. I had by then moved with a broken planner to the Philippines that explains the Dumaguete in involvement. Anyway, the machine shop took a look at the gear and said they could build me an exact duplicate in three days and a price that was less than $100 and no shipping. The new gear eventually ended up costing me under 100 bucks and it work perfectly. I did put it up for sale and sold it because I no longer needed it.
One of my few successes in life.
