1969. I left Michigan in my raggedy ass Ford station wagon and headed for California with the wife and a two year-old child. Didn't really know if I was going to San Francisco or Los Angeles.
I made that decision when I got to Denver, Colorado.
Somewhere west of Denver high in the Rocky Mountains and the wipers are vacuum operated and it was snowing like hell. After driving blind for several miles climbing up that mountain west of Denver. I decided I needed to pull over get off the highway and spend the night.
We slept in the back of the station wagon with the boy in between us. Next morning, we continued on our way to San Francisco. Spent the first night in a fleabag Hotel in Oakland.
We began our life in California. First wife left, two years later after we had moved to Butte Montana. That was the last time she left. I did not invite her back like so many times in the past. My son said that he remembered waving goodbye to me as the greyhound bus lift Butte.
During Halloween 1969 while wife was on one of her I'm home sick visits to Michigan. Which was really her missing her big dick boyfriend.
I was singing, “Thank God and Greyhound she's Gone!”
But I did miss the boy dearly, knowing he was growing up without his dad.
During Halloween in 1969 I went to the freak ball all by my lonesome didn't get laid, but I did get stoned.
Has the song goes? I got stoned and I missed it.
I'll bet none of you guys have ever heard that song. At that party there was a long haired hippie there operating one of the earlier moog synthesizer.
I was really fascinated by that machine, knowing that there wasn't a single regular instrument producing that music. It was all made through electronics, and I found it absolutely fascinated.
Freaking out at the freakier's ball.

Doctor Hook and the Medicine Show!
HAS been awfully quiet around here, but your first post kind of explains it - Can't think of anything to say.
Weather finally starting to break (except today, 39° and rain most of the day) so starting Spring cleanup, putting away the Winter toys and digging out the Summer toys. If the rain isn't too bad, probably go to town today and grab a few things. Rest of the week is supposed to be decent-ish.

Personally, I love the year around summer. Even if I get uncomfortably hot except for the monsoon seasons two of them.

I have vacationed in San Francisco in 2012. Never been to Alaska. Guess I may not make it there. I think our traveling days are about over.
Since they made weed legal in Mo., I have been getting these "gummies" to help me sleep. They are 100mg, and I take 1/4th of one. Only about once or twice a week, if I happen to think about it. Then I may go two go two or three weeks and not take any. Dont think I am very hard core.
