Good Morning, Homies (general discussion)

Gray and rainy, but could hit 50° today, I'll take it.

Coffee on the counter and munchies out the wazoo (grandkids and great-grands brought a ton of stuff).

I've been waffling about getting hearing aids, have gotten as far as getting an audiologist appointment. Of course, the soonest they can fit me in is the end of May...

Wasn't sure I wanted to bother until the great-grands showed up. Between pitch and volume, I can't understand anything the 4 year old says, and it takes 2-3 times to get what the 7 year old says (I may have mentioned that he was 8 earlier, I was wrong). Fortunately the older one seems to understand that I can't hear well and will interpret for the younger one if needed.

even with perfect ears you might not be able to figger out what a 4 year old is saying. you'd probably end up turnin' the aids off anyway...once you got an earful of the racket kids can make.

we're going into a cold spell here...frost/freeze warnings out for tonite and Rosie has little plants out in the raised beds. she'll be tossin' a blanket on them tonite. it hit 70 yesterday afore the front moved down and brought some rain and toonder boomers...it's about 36* this morning. back to the upper 60's and 70's by tuesday tho. STILL haven't been feeshin.

i'll have a mugful witcha....thanks.

'Morning! Thanks for the tea water, kid munchies have a lot of sugar in 'em so I'll pass.

I've been using hearing aids for 30 years and my thoughts on 'em are, at first they drive you nuts so you don't use 'em, then you kinda get used to 'em, then you rely on 'em and finally really need 'em but they still drive you nuts sometimes.

Make sure you get the ones that dampen background noise.

Thanks for the offer. Don't feel like it right now but appreciate the thought.

Got two about a month ago (AccqQuest $3500.00) They're still adjusting the tones high and low
have a lot of trouble adjusting the volume to the tv,background noise and Molly speaking to me, but I'm getting used to them and beginning to like them. Without them I couldn't hear ANYTHING.
I think it was a good investment.

Had mine for about a year still don't know how to use them they make my ears itch, I never went back to have them adjusted. That would probably help.:-D
