Got it built, pretty simple. 110vac in via a light switch to the primary (low voltage side) of the transformer, two leads out, one grounded to the frame of the transformer, the other to the secondary (high voltage side) of the transformer. This one was a little different in that it has 4 taps off the secondary, one high voltage, one REALLY high voltage. I used the RHV of course...


Some teething issues learning to use it having to do with NOT working on a wet wooden surface (doh...) and different wood having different burning characteristics, I'm assuming based on the grain structure.

I also think I'm overdoing the electrolyte a little. I'll experiment more tomorrow.
