Still sucking air

I will try to pick up where I left off 6 weeks ago.
By the time we got to Honolulu, I was not in very good shape. Settled into a small apartment in North East Seattle, once we got there. First thing was to get some groceries. That was only two blocks away. A half a block to go to get back my legs quit and I went down on the sidewalk and I could not get up, even with the help of Maria and two other women. My 220 pounds was now defeating all of our efforts.
A young man driving a new Mercedes-Benz SUV stop, (in the traffic lane,) and he helped me to his car. Maria our groceries and my four wheel walker in the back and delivered us the last 1/2 block of our apartment building. Maria left the groceries the lobby and I headed for our 2ed floor apartment pushing the walker. She went ahead of me and I told her to go back down and get the groceries. By then I was staggering like a drunk even with the help of the walker. Maria went for the groceries and I made it to the apartment door and clasped the second time. I managed to get back up before she got back to me. A little later Maria call 911 and I was delivered to the VA ER.
That was only the first day.
The ER doctor said for me to return in two days which was a Sunday. It was also the second trip to the ER in three days. I ended up going to the ER three more times in first five weeks in Seattle. That is right, five trips to the ER in five weeks and that was just the begging.

Right now I feel as good as the day before we started for Manila but I can not trust my legs anymore. Pretty good for being 77. After the two falls the VA give gave me a wheel chair. Now if I plan on traveling more than about 80 feet Maria is pushing.
I than had my Mac. Book take a shit on me. The Mac Store wanted almost $800.00 to replace the screen.
I then paid over $1,300.00 for a new one and had a hell of a time transferring my files over. That was the reason for the 6 week delay in my post.
Good news is there will NOT be any by-pass. The surgeons decided that I was to high of a risk for a bypass. I did not like the idea of going home in a box and agreed with them. So from now on it is going to be snake venom pills, (blood thinners,) to the end.
I booked our flight back home the first of October to try and finish the appointments. If not, thin it will be sinloy.

Well, the good thing is you are "still sucking air" and you dont just "suck".

I know it may not be right to joke about things. But that is the way I operate.

Good to hear from you.

Gene

No worry Gene, we both on the same train track. I learned to joke about death when I was 18, either joke about it or cry. I prefer to Joke about it.
Funerals are for the living, not for the deceased.
Here is one for you.
A drunk is pissing on a grave. A passer by asking him what he was doing. The drunk said the man in the grave was his good friend and his friend had ask to pore a beer on his grave when he was dead and gone. I don't think would mind if I filtered it through my kidneys first.
:D
