White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane.

Gracie sure had pipes back in those days.

Red Dave, good to see you.
When I was a young man in my early 20s and living in San Francisco, Jefferson Airplane used to play at one of the establishment down on the back beach on the (Pacific) far end of Golden Gate Park. I have always enjoyed their music and at the time they were playing in San Francisco. They also put on a light show. They always pack the place when they were playing. I still listen to their music today even when they change their name to Jefferson Starship. I think they thought they had to modernized their name after American started sending men into outer space and to moon.

Ain't that the terrible truth?

And Paul, sorry for the double post my shaky old fingers don't seem to be able to hit the right key at the right time.

Another oddity in a song lyrics that is kinda pertinent to the current events of today.

David Allen Coe in his song "If that aint country" mentions about, " If that ain't county, it'll hair lip the Pope" Now that's odd isn't it?

I guess that may be some kind of local "old saying", but I never heard it in my area.

And where did they get the phrase "hair lip" anyway?

Well, if I might let my pedantic inner child out to play for a moment:

It's not "hair" lip, it's "hare" lip as in rabbit. A rabbit's upper lip is divided in the middle. There's a birth defect in humans that does the same thing. If uncorrected, causes a speech impediment. Have a cousin that has that.

BTW, one of the nicknames for a certain brand of truck is "Harelipped Duck"

Because a harelipped duck would say "Mack, mack"...
